Greatham Primary School
Welcome to our school. We hope that you will enjoy our website and learn a little bit about our school of which we are very proud.
We had an Ofsted inspection in November 2008 which agreed with our own assessment that it is a 'satisfactory school' with 'some good features and some that are even better.'
We are justly proud of our ethos, inclusivity and creative curriculum together with our Arts Mark Gold (gained from the Arts Council for the second time in May 2007), our Active Mark Gold and Healthy School -Enhanced Status.
We have been redesigning our environment both outside and in:
-Our new classrooms, community and arts rooms have been up and running since September 07
-We have created a spiritual area with metal sculptures made by the children; the environmental area continues to grow with the children growing vegetables in the raised beds, creating compost etc Cooking features in our curriculum as well!
-The Early Years have a brand new outdoor learning area with an all weather play area including a covered area attached to the classroom to enable continuous learning to take place.
